Evan was quiet half a moment, carefully assessing the changes in the soldier's expression and posture. Nothing seemed outright threatening, so there was that. He remained fairly stoic himself, his sword in his hand, but at rest at his side.

"How is Seth, really?"

His tone hinted at anger, which the captain was very much trying to hold at bay.

"Present and accounted for, sir," the man said with as much sarcasm as he could muster. "Except he's quite preoccupied at the moment, I would say. He's a strong one, it seems."

That... was, relieving? Evan supposed? He didn't think this being would bother sugar-coating the situation for him. Maybe that was just a wild guess on his part, though; hard to say. Also hard to say how much that was in fact good news, too; it would likely be rather naive to just assume so, though it was hard to imagine that this meant Seth was any worse off than the others.

"He's a good soldier," Evan commented, he supposed agreeing with this thing's assessment that Seth was strong. "And he's one of my men. I'd really like him back."

"And if I don't give him back? What are you going to do? Slice his body through with your sword?" The man nodded toward Evan's hand as he crossed his own arms.

"Nah," Evan shrugged, briefly turning his eyes down to regard his sword as well with a slight smirk of his own. "I doubt that'd accomplish much." He shifted his eyes back, and his weight to his other hip, while he let his expression look a little more curiously at his interlocutor.

"Just stating something I'd like to get out of this little chat. How bout you?"

"It's not enough for me to just want to take this body for a spin?" the man said, having dropped the fake male tone completely in favor of the more velvety voice Evan had heard from before. The eyes also became more purple as the man continued to stare at Evan.

The man stood up and made as though he would begin to circle Evan, getting as close as six inches away from his body.

Mrh, curiosity receded into caution as Seth's body stood up, and Evan's stance tensed slightly, visibly shifting into something more prepared for a fight. Still just on the defensive, though. Hell, if he was being honest, he probably wasn't actually prepared to use his sword in this situation, and in that sense the blade would in fact be a hindrance. He dropped it to the ground and kicked it back towards the entrance to the tent, just hard enough for it to go until the tent flap stopped it. That was just in time for Evan to recognize that the thing wasn't directly approaching him, but rather starting to go around the side. Evan didn't get the sense that it was headed for the sword, but at the same time, he wasn't in the mood to take chances, and besides, he didn't particularly feel like letting it be quite that brazen without some pushback, regardless of its intentions.

Without another thought, Evan lowered his center of gravity and reached out for the man's nearest leg, aiming to hoist that up and use his other hand to shove the man's chest downwards, ideally landing him right back on the cot he'd just gotten up from.

((OOC: obvs, up to you how successful that attempt is, just as long as it's clear that Evan's strength and form are both excellent about it n_n lol))

Seth, not ill-matched for Evan by any means, simultaneously turned his body once Evan had hold of his leg and flipped his other leg over Evan's lowered body so that, when Evan pushed, he also lost balance and both of them landed on the cot with Seth curving over Evan to land on top. Seth quickly wrapped Evan's arms and legs so he was pinned in one fluid motion, the purple eyes and borrowed mouth grinning with an intensely mocking smile, but the smile suddenly turned into a grimace of sorts as Seth's real voice rang out loudly from the tent.

"Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!" The man hung his head briefly over Evan, his lower body convulsing slightly until there was an unmistakable smell of semen even though Seth had thick wool pants on. After his body stopped shaking, the man lifted his head and opened his eyes, now completely absent of the previous purple, and both confusion and horror settled over his face.

“Evan? What the hell?” Seth scrambled off Evan, but his arms and legs struggled to respond immediately to anything, and he ended up in a mess on the floor, quickly falling unconscious. He was not, however, muttering like the other men who had been attacked.

Evan panicked briefly when he felt that other leg swing up, and he tried to shift his weight to account for it, but to no avail; he'd really already committed to the motion. He grunted frustratedly as he was pinned, and rapidly went over options in his brain on how to gain advantage back. He was very nearly about to attempt another move when Seth's voice returned to normal - or, well... not that velvety tone, in any case.

For a half a second Evan pulled his focus out of the grappling situation so he could study Seth, try to pin down just what to make of that outcry. Then, when the smell of semen hit... Evan's eyes widened, and a good amount of blush pooled up in his ears and his cheeks. The captain was... glad, he supposed, to see an expression on his soldier's face that looked like Seth's, even if it did come with a hefty dose of awkwardness and embarrassment.

"Seth--" Evan sat up the instant the soldier drew back from the pin, and he raised his hands slightly on either side of him as if to show no hostile intention, but by that point the soldier had already collapsed.

"Damn it," Evan scrambled over next to him, mentally preparing to slap the soldier across the face in a frantic attempt to try to snap him out of it-- but, he wasn't muttering or convulsing like the others. The captain sighed wearily and rubbed at his hair, contemplating what would be the right next move. Folks outside the tent had probably heard that Fuck, and Evan briefly considered poking his head out to reassure anyone who was there, but in the end he decided that concerned parties could come investigate themselves.

For now, Evan decided to slip his arms under Seth's shoulders so he could pull the soldier back onto his cot. Seemed like the least he could do. Past that... he sloughed himself down next to the cot, knees loosely gathered in front of him and arms resting over top. He supposed the next thing he wanted to do was just wait here patiently til - hopefully - the soldier woke back up. Yeah, it might be a bit fucking awkward when he did, but Evan wasn't about to let a little awkwardness stop him from keeping an eye on the situation. With any luck, they'd be able to clear up any misunderstandings and, gods willing, maybe learn something solid about what they were in fact dealing with.

((OOC: So yeh I guess Evan's planning to stay there for potentially quite a while, barring something cutting that short. I suppose there exists a point at which Evan would give up on Seth waking up, but I'm not sure when that point would be. Certainly at least a few hours from now, so feel free to timeskip as appropriate.))

The soldiers around the tent up that early heard the sound and exchanged glances at each other to see what the others thought. Given the screams in the middle of the night, everyone was still on edge, but there was enough sexuality in the outcry that no one was particularly interested in rushing over, so they attempted to brush it off with remarks such as "maybe he dropped something?" That coupled with the fact that no one was entirely certain where the cry had come from since the tents were fairly close together in this section of the camp dissuaded the soldiers from leaving their various tasks. They waited in the event that some other more identifying sound might occur, but none came, and the awkward outcry was soon forgotten.

Several hours passed, the sun rising over the encampment, burning off what was left of the chill. The sun was well into the sky by the time Seth came to, his eyes opening hesitantly and staring at the top of the tent. He pulled his hands up to cover his eyes both because the sun, even through the tent, was bright as hell and because the scraps of what he had been dreaming started to return to him.

"Well, that was a really fucked up--" Seth started to say but then lowered his hands and saw Evan on the end of his cot, and his eyes widened considerably.
